The vision for the site defined America as a champion of sustainability, reaffirming the country’s position as a leader in renewable energy, and demonstrating the partners’ shared commitment to counteracting the harmful effects of climate change.

The proposal led by us identified up to 500 acres on which to construct Amazon’s new campus and community.  A 100-acre parcel was included in the proposal for the first phase of Amazon’s development so they could begin work immediately. An additional 300-acres is adjacent to that site, where the full suite of utilities could be built out in short order. The proposal also identified additional parcels of land owned by the Tulalip Tribes for potential development.

Although no site was selected in Washington for consideration by Amazon, the planning and proposal developed put the Tulalip Tribes on the map as a serious contender for business park development. It also promoted this scenic location as a place where employees can enjoy the extraordinary natural environment as an alternative to urban life.
